I would like to extend my highest recommendation for Seth Thurston as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. Prior to my wedding on October 4, 2013, I worked out with Seth for approximately 10 months. I had not been active or involved in any type of fitness regime for approximately one year, and I wanted to look my best.
I did extensive research before choosing Seth. Having previously worked as a personal trainer myself, I know many of the qualities and attributes to look for. Seth has a strong knowledge of human anatomy and nutrition, he also has experience clients of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, and he is able to manage time efficiently in order to attain an effective workout. His seemingly effortless ability to modify the workout as needed is something I truly admired. The first time I met Seth for a trial session, I had to stop after just 20 minutes. I was out of breath, and my entire body was shaking; needless to say, I was impressed. After speaking with him afterwards, I realized that his success is truly because of his talent and dedication to his career. He never once tried to sell me with any gimmicky sales lines, and we created a custom plan to prepare me for my wedding day. Seth truly cares about seeing his clients succeed, and it shows.
After working out with Seth for several months, I started to notice a drastic improvement in my strength, agility and appearance. I can honestly say I have never been more confident or happy with the way I look. My wedding day was the best day of my life, and I felt absolutely beautiful. I plan on continuing my training program after my wedding, and will be participating in a fitness competition in March 2014.
Seth is not only an excellent trainer, but I have also enjoyed seeing him succeed and gain more clientele. He is an extremely driven and motivated individual, and I have no doubt in my mind that he will continue his personal and professional growth. Seth is a quality trainer. The first time I worked with Seth I had gained 15 lbs for an acting job and was having trouble finding the motivation to take it back off. Long story short with Seth’s knowledge and training I was able to lose 12 lbs in 6 weeks in time for my next project in Lancaster, PA.
When I got back I scheduled more time with him to stay on track and have never felt better about my body. The great thing about Seth is that he becomes totally invested with you so that you can reach your goals. All my life I dreamed of becoming a Navy SEAL. Throughout high school I began preparation; wrestling, running, swimming, and weight training. I trained with Seth Thurston. On the daily, we worked to train harder and more efficiently than the last. We trained this way right up until I left for selection. Out of 234 trainees that I started training with, only 7 made it through with our class.
The preparation that I did with Seth was crucial to my success in the most trying time in my life. After training with Seth and being best friends for years, I can attest his knowledge and work ethic. Fitness is what he knows best and I have a great deal of confidence in his ability to help anyone reach their fitness or performance goals.
After training with Seth Thurston for a period of 5 months I managed to gain 10 pounds of lean muscle, increase my bench press max from 180lbs to 230lbs and lost 10% of my body fat. His program was very specific and easy to follow.
He always provided the answers to the questions I had and made me feel very comfortable during the entire process. His meal plans were just
what I needed to push me over my plateau and were not boring or created a sense of starvation often found with other diets. Being a runner, I know how dull aerobic exercise can be but Seth’s program was creative and motivational enough for me to follow it.
I highly recommend Seth Thurston to anyone stuck without gains or in a rut as I have personally seen his program work for me. Being a Psychology major, I understand the importance of a good motivational coach and Seth is a prime example of one.
Working a sedentary job can quickly add on undesirable body fat, which he is very familiar with and knew exactly how to eliminate my problem areas.

I have lost of 10% body fat, 3 inches from my waist, and have gained several inches in muscle mass in my arms, legs, and chest. My diet and eating habits have improved as well, as a result of Seth’s nutritional assessment and recommendations.
As an Occupational Therapist with over 18 years of experience working in physical medicine and rehabilitation, I am very skeptical of other disciplines- especially personal trainers. Seth has proven time and time again that he has a true understanding of body mechanics, human anatomy, and exercise physiology. As a former high school and collegiate baseball athlete I thought I knew what it took to stay physically fit. As the year past I was unable to sustain the physique that I had so I looked into a professional trainer so I could achieve the body that I once had. This is where Seth Thurston comes in. I started working with Seth Thurston and after only three months I gained 8 lbs of muscle and lost 3% body fat. On top of getting the results I wanted in such short time, he taught me how to maintain and workout so I could keep the results I wanted.
Along with the workout routine that he had me on, he set me up with a weekly diet as well. I don’t know if I could have achieved the results I reached if it weren’t for eating formula. Seth Thurston has been my personal trainer since December 2008. I began training to strengthen my core and improve my overall muscle tone. As a pharmacist I am on my feet for ten to twelve hours a day and was having some issues with leg and hip pain. In my profession, I also see how poor life choices affect overall health and wellness.
I could not be happier with his training and my progress overall. Seth has great enthusiasm for motivation, but is also aware of individual abilities and considerate of limitations. He has good knowledge of muscle function and changes exercises to work all areas of the muscle while emphasizing proper form.
