Often I hear people say "why do I need to workout my legs when I want to focus on my upper body". Legs are essential for many reasons. Starting with the fact legs is about 50% of your muscle mass it makes no logical scene to only workout half of your body. If you are trying to burn calories doing a weight training leg workout is going to collectively burn more calories during the workout and after your workout then doing any kind of cardio. Importantly when doing maximum capacity leg training can actually increase the body's growth hormone potential. This means that you will make faster progress all over the body when working out legs regularly. The rise of testosterone not only goes to your legs but upper body as well, making it more effective to build muscle or lose body fat when on a meal plan. Work smarter and harder.
